ECLEA REPORT FOR KAWANGWARE 46 ON THE BOOK OF JONAH. 17-18 APRIL 2024. VENUE GOSPEL EQUIPPERS MINISTRY CHURCH KAWANGWARE
The meeting went on well on the dates indicated above. The teachers were James N. Kamau and Monica Wambui. It had 13 participants. The following major denominations were represented.
1. Alpha Mission Church
2. Gospel Equippers Ministry Church (Host)
3. Nuba Christian Fellowship
4. Methodist Church in Kenya

REPORTS
PST. ZABLON TIEMA – Learnt of the miracle of Jonah being at the belly of the fish and being sustained there, later after prayer the fish vomited him in dry land.
MERCY VULOZE – Learnt on the importance of being responsible. Secondly she learnt on the importance of fearing the Lord no matter what trouble we could be going through.
FABIAN CHISELEMI – Learnt that obedience is key to success, if Jonah would have obeyed God, He would have had a successful journey to Nineveh.
GEOFFREY OTIENO – Learnt that God does not give up on us even when we go astray. Even when Jonah decided to disobey God still directed his path to the place of his divine assignment.
NAFISA - Learnt on the consequences of disobeying God. She learnt that Jonah had to learn the hard way after disobedience until he called on God in the belly of the fish.
DOROTHY ZABLON – Learnt on the importance of prayer. The sailors prayed in the ship and God answered them by stop ping the storm. We are grateful to the partners of Eclea through Jonathan for making this meeting possible through their sponsorship. God bless you.

Our second training in Nairobi was held in Nairobi Central Business District with relatively young leaders in the month of March and then concluded in April due to unavoidable logistics.

The obvious choice was 1 Timothy. Training and equipping leaders has never been in greater demand that today. The main reason is to pass the baton to the next generation. After the training, what came out clearly was the emphasis of the qualifications of a leader. The 15 of them is not a suggestion but mandatory.

    

I want to thank ECLEA together with the partners for supporting such a great ventures of equipping church leaders in East Africa.

This year since January up to this month, I had done three conferences. We started with Biblical Stewardship in Maresi Kabukatenyi near Mount Elgon. We pray one day you will reach the place. The church is growing very first. I have done two conference now.   I have finished teaching 1 Timothy in Kakamega early this month.

Generally I am very with the materials of ECLEA you are providing to us. Also I am going to have a conference of Bible Literacy on 28th this month for mum Rosemary material. Moreso I am using the book of Parental and Marriage materials to teach in one of our luggage Radio station Sulwe FM western Kenya every Wednesday. I am reaching more than ten thousand people every week. It is the product of ECLEA. God bless you Man of God and all that sponsoring us to do all these work.

I am posting my second conference this year. It was very successful, and we had good time to learn together. Senior pastors and church leaders came out very well. Interaction was of high quality as majority asked questions. This platform is enhancing our learning capacity as we continue to teach these biblical truths.

My second conference was on 21st to 23th March. We were learning about Biblical Stewardship; it was so good. Participation was excellent.  My prayer is that this vision will continue, so that we may continue to equip the church of Jesus Christ.

I am reporting my first conference this year 2024. This was on 27 to 29/2/2024.
We engaged ourselves on the book of JAMES. 

The conference was so good and the participant's engaged so well with the contents of the book. You know this book touches the daily life of every Christian and therefore becomes very practical. I believe the vision you had from the beginning is continuing bearing fruits.
           
My second conference is in this month of March and it is properly scheduled..

ECLEA REPORT FOR WANJOHI NYANDARUA MEETING ON THE BOOK OF
JONAH. 21-22 FEBRUARY, 2024 VENUE, GGFAN CHURCH WANJOHI

The meeting continued well on the above dates. The teachers were James N. Kamau and Samuel Ndirangu. The following denominations were represented. The meeting had 8 participants.
1. GGFAN Church Wanjohi, (Hosts)
2. Gospel Equippers Ministry Church

REPORTS
REV. NDIRANGU – Learnt on the importance of obeying God, unlike Jonah. He noted the heavy consequences that Jonah underwent because of disobedience.

PST. EZEKIEL NJUGUNA – Learnt on the importance of not mixing faith with other things i.e. syncretism. He noted that it was important to keep the faith pure so as to experience the presence of God at all times.

ANN NDIRANGU – Learnt on the importance of history as true. She was able to understand that the story of Jonah is not fiction but true. This was also proved by the Lord Jesus Christ when he referred to Jonah as real history that happened.

MRS. RACHEAL NJOKI – Was surprised as he learnt on the anger of Jonah. She realized that his anger was not necessary. This was because he was angry at the doings of the Lord and he is sovereign.

The meeting continued well on the above dates. The teachers were James N. Kamau and Tom
Mboya. It had had 13 delegates. The following major denominations were represented.

REPORTS
APOSTLE WAIGUA - Of God’s word and Holy Ghost Church the only minister who had a
turban felt he had benefited much from the teachings. He saw how important it is for ministers to
obey their call and not be disobedient like Jonah, because there are consequences.
REV. ROBERT MAINA – Learnt on the compassion of God where God gave Jonah a second
chance, instead of doing away with him.
TABITHA CHEGE – Learnt on the reality of the story of Jonah as true history. She understood
that this story is not fiction but true. This is proven by Jesus who quoted Jonah during his
teachings.
REV. JOHN NGIGE – Was particularly taken back by looking closely at the anger of Jonah
which according to him was unwarranted. Jonah was angry at God for saving the Ninevites,
because they were their enemies. He was able to clearly see the sovereignty of God, in this
picture.
REV. GABRIEL KAMAU – Learnt on the importance of being sincere in our prayers. Jonah
prayed while in the belly of the fish, but later we see that he was not sincere, because we later see
his hatred of the Ninevites, when God saved them.

January 2024: Greetings from Nairobi Kenya.

The year started on a very busy note by finalizing a pending meeting from last year's schedule. This was partly informed by the change of dates for the planned Book of Habakkuk. However, this was done the weekend ending Sunday 14 January with 11 church leaders in South C as pictured (their leader holding the training manual).

The problem of a righteous God allowing evil is a big question in the minds of many leaders and the same was addressed adequately by Habakkuk. The most appreciated bit was that evil is necessary for testing, disciplining, and sanctifying.

Another major take away was that God cannot possibly eliminate evil completely; at least for now, since by doing so He has to do away with human beings and the world itself.
